Vanessa Kelman
Her entire life, Vanessa E. Kelman has had a passion for the written word. Though primarily focused on fiction, she has broadened her horizons to include the nonfiction world as well.
In 2002, Vanessa graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, concentrating on Journalism and Radio/TV/Film. Since then, she has worked for a daily newspaper, television news network and a variety of miscellaneous establishments that have nothing whatsoever to do with writing.
It is with one of these "other" jobs that she learned about furniture. For the past four and a half years, Vanessa has worked for Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, starting in sales and then moving into customer service. She has learned more than she ever wanted to about mattresses, furniture and how it's all made.
Before working at Raymour & Flanigan, Vanessa owned a gift basket business for six years. This business gave her plenty of experience in coming up with gift ideas for just about every person and occasion.
On a personal note, Vanessa has taken the idea of saving money to heart. She is an extreme bargain hunter when it comes to daily purchases, and her goal is to see how little she can pay for a full shopping cart. She loves to share her insights, ideas and tips.
Vanessa has completed two novels and has others in the works. Her completed novels, Chasing Fate and Accepting Fate, are now available for purchase through her website, www.VanessaKelman.com, or on Amazon in both trade paperback and for the Kindle.
